HOW DOES THE WATERSCAPE™ WORK?
The Waterscape uses gravity to filter water through 3 materials - an ultrafine membrane, activated charcoal, and BioChar - to ensure that it captures a wide variety of pollutants.
HOW DO I USE THE WATERSCAPE™?
The Waterscape is designed to support a wide variety of uses. You can gravity-filter water into the included pouch, into a water bottle, or even use the included hose straw to drink directly from the source itself.
The Waterscape includes an instruction manual illustrating a variety of use cases. Read it if you need help getting started.
HOW MANY GALLONS DOES THE WATERSCAPE™ FILTER?
The Waterscape can filter up to 1000 gallons before needing to be backwashed with the included syringe. Once backwashed, it can filter another 1000 gallons before completely losing effectiveness. At this point, the unit should be replaced.
HOW DO I CLEAN THE WATERSCAPE™?
The backwash procedure for the Waterscape is as follows.
Fill the syringe with clean water.
Ensure the Waterscape is not connected to anything.
Remove the mouthpiece from the Waterscape.
Place the syringe on the side the mouthpiece was on.
Inject the clean water from the syringe into the Waterscape.
IS WATER READY TO DRINK IMMEDIATELY AFTER IT'S FILTERED?
Yes, the water is safe to drink immediately. No further action, such as boiling, is needed to make it potable.
